GRADUATING SENIORS: CAREERS IN ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP!
Do you want a job that challenges you and strengthens your leadership abilities? Do you want to work for an organization that creates lasting change in the lives of U.S. citizens? We’ve got the job for you!
Founded in 1982, the Fund for Public Interest Research is the leading citizen outreach organization in the country. We tackle our nation’s toughest challenges: global warming, renewable energy standards, and equality for GLBT Americans. Our mission is to raise money, build public support, and win campaigns for top progressive groups like the Sierra Club, U.S. PIRG, and the Human Rights Campaign.
We are looking for smart, motivated, action-oriented people who are interested in politics, have a commitment to working for the public interest, and are willing to work hard to make change. To do this work, you need stamina. You need to be resourceful on a shoestring budget. You need to be able to convey the sense of urgency and passion you feel about these issues. (In-depth training on campaign strategies, issues and skills is provided.) We work campaign hours.
