25 (32%) of the 77 respondents’ main customers are homeowners or individual gardeners – 13 (17%) of those sell to no one else. The remaining 52 (68%) respondents sell to other nurseries, rewholesalers (who end up selling to other landscapers or retail nurseries), landscapers, and/or commercial-scale work for municipalities, businesses, or institutions.

Of the 52 respondents who reported what kind of plants they use or sell, most respondents (35, 67%) sold or planted trees (20, 38%), perennials (22, 42%), or woody ornamentals (27, 52%) (including shrubs). 5/52 (10%) planted (4 were landscapers) or reported selling native plants.
