By this analysis, at full buildout Charlestown will have approximately 6,500 units,  a 44% increase from the 4,500 units in 1999. Under the current growth cap of 60 units a year, Charlestown could be built out by the year 2032.

The total area of Charlestown is about 24,000 acres, giving an overall density in Charlestown at full buildout of  4 acres per unit, including all openspace, water and tribal lands.

** The number of existing units is based on the tax assessors database. The number of units in parcels that had existing buildings on them had to estimated. The estimates varied by 404 units.
