Agricultural Land and Prime and Important Agricultural Soils

Agricultural Land

The agricultural land coverage comes from the RIGIS landuse coverage. This source was chosen instead of using the parcel data, because after a visual inspection of the lands are tax code 09 (Farm), it was clear that this designation underestimates the amount of farmland in the town. The Landuse 1995 coverage from RIGIS contains a designation for farmland, and this was ultimately used to determine farmland.
