This image shows where
the state's agriculturally significant soils have been developed (in grey)
and where there is proposed development (in pink and white). The largest
piece of pink, white and grey color in the northern most region of development
is the most important part of this image. Presently, this area is overgrown
and serves as a large buffer to the residents of North Kingstown. Due
to the proximity of this space to residents, as well as it's present undeveloped
state, this area would serve many of Rhode Island's present and future
needs for prime farmland.
