There are several different versions of watershed designations within the state of Rhode Island. The major differences lie in the larger areas designated by the USGS 8-Digit Hydrologic Units, which separate RI into five basins, while the others designate 10 - 13 or more smaller watersheds. Rhode Island is currently developing a single watershed map for the state. Maps may be viewed.
