To compare crime reports written before and after renovation, I needed enough data to put into GIS and map accurately and completely. The two datasets that were most important to my study were:

1. Rhode Island Housing dataset: a list of all the houses in Providence that received public subsidy for renovation. This listing was necessary for selection of case studies, mapping where renovation occurred, and choosing geographic "control" areas.
