Park Overview - Facts and Issues
Sackett Street Park is located in the southern section of Elmwood; it is across the street from the Sackett Street School, which has its own small grounds. This area tends to have a stable, middle-class population, and differs from some of the other parts of the neighborhood, where there are dilapidated and abandoned properties and continually shifting populations.

The waterpark is a very popular facility at Sackett Street Park. Designed primarily for younger children, it is a system of fountains and hoses that discharge water. During the summer months, the facility is used to the point of overcrowding. There is no organized programming at the park, although the summer lunch program does distribute lunches there.
