RESULTS - Park Crime City-Wide Total Crime Density Map The map shown here was generated with GIS software (Arcview 3.2), using a crime report database for the entire city of Providence. It shows 'total crime' meaning all crime categories were aggregated together instead of separated by crime types. It expresses the 'density' of the criminal violations meaning that both the distribution and the clustering of the violations are conveyed.
