TMA Services
Once a TMA is formed,
members must decide what services and/or activities would be appropriate.
These activities should be aligned with the goals of the TMA. Each activity
should have an objective and ideally, performance measures. The following
pages describe possible services that a TMA in Providence could have:
Shuttle:
There has been great interest among the stakeholders for implementing
a coordinated commuter shuttle into Providence. This page discusses
the benefits/costs of an integrated shuttle system.
Vanpooling:
The former director of Express Travel indicated that there is growing
demand for vanpools in RI. This page discusses the benefits/costs of
a vanpool system and provides a model for Providence.
Carpool
Parking Program: There is currently insufficient incentives for
carpoolers in Providence. This page discusses the benefits/costs associated
with such a carpool parking program at worksites.
