Drought Management:
INDICES WITHOUT DATA

These are the indices that were not utilized in this assessment.

In the case of the Crop Moisture Index and Ground Water Index, usable data was simply unavailable. Based on discussions with members of the RI Water Resources Board and the US Geological Survey, the Fire Index was determined to add little value to the overall assessment of drought conditions.

The LINKS are to websites that compile and display the relevant information. The Crop Moisture Index and the Fire Hazard Potential Index are displayed as a map with no numerical (tabular) data available. The Ground Water Index has a wealth of historical, tabular data, but unfortunately it was not recoverable in a usable format for this assessment.

An index of soil moisture for aggricultural use.
An index of ground water heights.
An index of brush growth, temperature, relative dryness and other factors contributing to forest fire potential.
