If you are interested in specific activity trends, The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) has some of the best information available to anyone looking at recreation in RI. Here are examples of the types of information and trends that exist in the SCORP report.

The SCORP plan is also of interest because it gives us recreation opportunities by holding, such as State, Federal, and private. While the SCORP plan remains the single best source for activity specific trends in RI, it is not done often enough to be truly effective for this type of analysis. RI DEM is currently working on a new SCORP plan, which when finished will be of incredible value due to the fact that it will fill in the information needed to get a good picture of the past ten years.
