There was insufficient data to estimate any of these sources or sinks
of nitrogen. The information was not available at RIDEM's Division of
Agriculture, and was not included in 1997 Census of Agriculture Rhode
Island Sate and County Data, or New England Agricultural Statistics
1998 or in NASS reports.

from the National Agricultural Statistics Service
The values for goats, sheep, horses, and mules and asses were from the
1996 and 1998 National Agricultural Statistics Service censuses and were
interpolated between the years 1992 and 1997. For the purpose of
interpolating the populations, it was assumed that they changed linearly
over time.
