To protect and restore the natural resources of our watersheds by coordinating planning and actions as well as facilitating communication between governmental and nongovernmental organizations, working to meet the needs of local watersheds as well as addressing broader statewide and regional goals. This will be accomplished in two ways: (1) by providing technical assistance and support to the local watershed teams and, (2) by serving as a technical workgroup which will present information and recommendations to the Coordinating Council in order to optimize staffing and funding allocations needed to implement Rhode Island's Watershed Approach to natural resource management.
